Blu Omega is seeking a Technical Lead - Professional Services with extensive experience in enterprise technical solution delivery and customer engagement. In this role, you will lead the technical direction of customer projects, ensuring their use cases are fully understood, architected, and executed to maximize value from the client's platform.

You will act as the senior technical liaison between our customers, platform engineering, and product teams, bringing and gaining deep expertise across Azure cloud services and COTS analytics products (SAS Viya, Posit, Tableau). You will guide customers through solution design, technical onboarding, and integration, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with federal standards.

Here, you'll work with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You'll sharpen your skills in analytical exploration and data examination while you support the assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.

Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Use Case Analysis:
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to capture customer business objectives, data workflows, and integration needs.
  • Translate complex public health and enterprise requirements into scalable, secure platform solutions.
  • Perform gap analysis and propose solution architectures leveraging Azure native services and approved COTS analytics tools.

Solution Architecture & Technical Delivery:
  • Design, document, and oversee the implementation of end-to-end data solutions integrating Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure AI Services, and analytics platforms such as SAS Viya, Posit, and Tableau.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements (FISMA, FedRAMP).
  • Recommend and implement automation to improve deployment efficiency, monitoring, and customer onboarding.

Platform Expertise & Enablement:
  • Develop deep expertise in the platform's capabilities, architecture, and integration points.
  • Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams and customer technical staff.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging Azure services, open-source tools, and COTS capabilities to enhance platform value.

Team Leadership & Technical Oversight:
  • Lead cross-functional technical teams in delivering Professional Services engagements.
  • Establish best practices for solution design, deployment, and operational support.
  • Monitor delivery quality and customer satisfaction metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in technical delivery roles such as data engineering, solution architecture, or analytics platform integration.
  • 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical leadership role.
  • Expertise in Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Functions, Logic Apps, AI Services, APIM, Azure Search).
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as SAS Viya, Posit, or Tableau.
  • Strong skills in solution design, architecture documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience in public health, healthcare, or federal data environments.
  • Proficiency with data transformation languages and scripting (Python, R, SQL).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (master's preferred).
  • Located in Atlanta, GA.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Generative AI and Advanced RAG patterns on Azure OpenAI.
  • Familiarity with big data platforms such as Databricks and Spark.
  • Expertise in containerized deployments such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Solutions or Enterprise Architecture certification (TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

Salary Range: $140K - $155K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
