DevSecOps Engineer

Onsite in Huntsville, AL

Target salary range: $90,000 - $130,000.00

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.)

Active Secret Clearance Required to Start

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Helm
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, including automated builds, testing, quality gates, and deployment
• Configure and manage cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux systems in a secure, closed-area environment
• Integrate security tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, and Coverity into DevSecOps pipelines
• Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and orchestrate applications
• Collaborate in an Agile development environment using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab/GitHub
• Write and review software scripts/code in Python, Java, C++, Bash, and PowerShell

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Active Secret Clearance required
• Education:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of related experience, or
  • Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or
  • PhD with 1+ year of experience
• Certifications:
  
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE)
• Technical Experience:
  
  • Systems administration: Windows and Linux
  • Cloud: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
  • DevSecOps implementation for classified government systems
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm
  • CI/CD pipeline tools and practices: Jenkins, automated testing, quality gates
  • Coding/scripting: Python, Java, C++, Shell, PowerShell
  • Source control: Git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket
  • Agile development and software delivery
• Preferred Skills:
  
  • Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
  • Security scanning tools: SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity
  • Platform as a Service (PaaS) experience
  • Full-stack software development (Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, etc.)
  • Experience deploying to and maintaining Kubernetes clusters
• Work Location Requirement:
  
  • Must support an on-site, closed-area work environment
