Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified Logistician Subject Matter Expert to manage the logistical aspects of product life cycles within the Department of Defense (DOD) environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience and exceptional expertise to oversee logistics program activities and provide strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistical Management: Manage the logistical aspects of product life cycles, including coordination of samples and minimization of obsolescence.
- Program Development: Develop and implement logistics program activities, including Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), technical documentation, Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM), and provisioning.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve logistics problems and compile data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistics activities.
- Cost Analysis: Perform system life-cycle cost analysis and develop component studies to inform decision-making.
- Support Activities: Plan, organize, and execute logistics support activities such as maintenance planning, repair analysis, and test equipment recommendations.
- Technology Advancement: Stay informed of logistics technology advances and government policies, applying them to improve logistics processes.
- Strategic Advisory: Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff from project inception to conclusion.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: Certified Logistics Professional Certification.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a logistician within the DOD environment.
- An additional 6 years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- 1 academic year at an accredited college or university in a preferred degree-related post-secondary program may count as 1 year of experience.
