The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Program Execution Lead to join the team in Dallas, TX; Berkeley, MO; North Charleston, SC; Everett, WA; Huntsville, AL; Mesa, AZ; San Antonio, TX; Seattle, WA; Tukwila, WA, El Segundo, CA; Long Beach, CA; Miami, FL; Ridley Park, PA; Plano, TX; or Arlington, VA.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is modernizing its foundational Product Data Management (PDM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ER&P) systems; enhancing its data strategies; and improving alignment of its execution processes via the Sapphire program - a joint effort between BDS and Boeing Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S).

We are seeking a seasoned Program Execution Lead to drive consistent, disciplined execution and continuous improvement across this large, complex transformation.

In joining the team, you will have a specific focus on owning solution-level planning and execution for Sapphire, maintaining roadmaps and the Architectural Runway, prioritizing the solution backlog, preparing and driving Planning Interval (PI)/Solution Planning, resolving cross‑Integrated Project Planning (IPT) dependencies, and providing clear decision-support to leadership.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvement across the program by identifying and implementing enhancements to planning and execution processes
  • Identify, manage, and proactively resolve cross‑IPT dependencies, conflicts, and day‑to‑day blockers to keep execution on track
  • Lead, coach, and reinforce adoption of the Program Execution Playbook, program management best practices, and standard ways of working
  • Support program decision‑making by synthesizing key insights, surfacing risks, and ensuring clear, timely communication
  • Promote Agile behaviors, including iteration planning discipline, backlog hygiene, and effective cross‑team collaboration
  • Coordinate or facilitate cross‑functional solution‑level planning and alignment ceremonies as needed
  • Maintain a clear intent/vision and an Architectural Runway view for major solutions
  • Ensure solution‑level roadmaps are defined, feasible, and aligned to business objectives
  • Prioritize capabilities and manage the solution‑level backlog in partnership with Proprietary Information of Others (PIO), architects, IPTs, and functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Facilitate collaboration across PIO, architects, IPTs, and SMEs to maintain alignment on execution and priorities
  • Provide the PIO with a real‑time, accurate view of risks, constraints, and trade‑offs
  • Support PI/Solution Planning by providing the upfront structure and clarity needed to make planning effective
  • Track and communicate program‑level Statement of Work (SOW) prioritization and status


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • Experience with Agile program management principles
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams
  • Experience using strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in a role that required excellent communication, project management, presentation, and facilitation skills


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience influencing and building relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions and/or programs
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior management, customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
  • Experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional digital transformation programs, preferably in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience working with solutioning and implementation of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)/ERP Systems or any large Enterprise System
  • Experience with Product Data Manager (PDM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations and integrations, including data migration and system-of-record considerations
  • Experience owning solution roadmaps, Architectural Runway, and PI/Solution Planning at scale (Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar frameworks)
  • Experience with Agile program structures
  • Experience negotiating tradeoffs and resource commitments across organizational boundaries

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Senior: $113,050 - $163,300

Summary pay range for Lead: $141,000 - $204,700
