BGS is seeking a Senior Product Support Engineer to l ead the development and delivery of aircraft maintenance technical publications and scheduled maintenance planning documents for commercial derivative aircraft in Tukwila, Washington.
This role requires advanced engineering expertise to translate customer needs into clear, compliant technical publications and maintenance plans, and to assess how product support elements (maintenance planning, logistics, manuals, training, reliability, and engineering change processes) interrelate to ensure safe, cost-effective fleet development and sustainment for military customers.

BGS is seeking a Senior Product Support Engineer to l ead the development and delivery of aircraft maintenance technical publications and scheduled maintenance planning documents for commercial derivative aircraft in Tukwila, Washington.
This role requires advanced engineering expertise to translate customer needs into clear, compliant technical publications and maintenance plans, and to assess how product support elements (maintenance planning, logistics, manuals, training, reliability, and engineering change processes) interrelate to ensure safe, cost-effective fleet development and sustainment for military customers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, review, and approval of aircraft maintenance technical publications (various maintenance manuals, MPDs, task cards) ensuring regulatory and company compliance
- Create and validate scheduled maintenance planning documents (MPD amendments, inspection intervals, maintenance program development) for commercial derivative aircraft
- Analyze maintenance data, failure trends, and operational feedback to recommend updates to technical publications and maintenance plans
- Assess interdependencies across product support elements (logistics, configuration management, training, reliability engineering, supply chain) and drive integrated sustainment solutions
- Coordinate with design engineering, certification, regulatory authorities, and customer MROs to ensure technical publications and maintenance plans meet airworthiness and operational requirements
- Ensure configuration control of maintenance data packages and maintain traceability between engineering changes and published maintenance tasks
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, technical writers, and maintenance planners in best practices for publications and maintenance planning
- Contribute to cost-reduction and reliability improvement initiatives tied to maintenance program optimization
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 9+ years' experience in an engineering classification is typical for the position
- 6+ years' experience in commercial, or commercial derivative aircraft maintenance related product support engineering is typical for the position
- Strong knowledge of military aircraft maintenance planning processes, MPDs, IETMs/IPC structure, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience with configuration management tools, and common engineering software (MS Office, CAD viewers, analytics tools)
- Experience with military commercial derivative aircraft with regulatory requirements
- Experience interfacing with suppliers and military customers
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills and experience coordinating across engineering, logistics, certification, and customer teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active U.S. Security Clearance
- Master's degree in aerospace engineering discipline
- Thorough knowledge of structured publication standards (iSpec 2200, ATA iSpec, S1000D) and digital publication workflows
- Prior Boeing program experience or maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO)/customer-facing sustainment role
- Maintenance certifications (A&P) or experience with operator maintenance organizations
