The Lockheed Martin Space Mission Integration team seeks a Chief Analyst for Strategic Operations to provide technical leadership to a dynamic team of Strategic Operations Research Analysts in Littleton, CO . This teams provides physics-based technical analysis to identify and validate the viability of future satellite constellations while also assisting in the design of next generation system-of-system architectures in support of national security, commercial, and civil mission areas.

As our Chief Analyst, you will apply a broad knowledge base to lead the development of new ideas and analysis to proposals, studies, trades, and programs to optimize existing efforts and facilitate new business for Lockheed Martin Space. A strong background and understanding of geolocation analysis, orbital mechanics, RF analysis, GNC, and the space mission area as well as its interaction with other domains are critical to success in this role. Personable leadership will be essential in maintaining a positive, collaborative team environment as we tackle the most challenging issues at the cutting edge of emerging space capabilities.

Your key duties will include:

• Leading a team of enthusiastic analysts while fostering a team environment focused on delivering on our commitments

• Overseeing both analysis projects and associated tool development, primarily in MATLAB

• Regularly engage with internal and external stakeholders across multiple lines of business

• Coordinate acceptance and planning of new work

• Establish and maintain technical standards

• Employ basic project management skills to track progress and communicate with leadership

• Utilize your creativity and problem solving skills to think outside the box and address novel technical challenges in the space mission area

Our level 5 employees typically have 15-20 years of experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills from a systems perspective

• Familiar with RF principles, GNC, and orbital mechanics

• Experience with programming and scripting in MATLAB along with STK familiarity

• Technical leadership experience

• Experience collaborating with customers and/or key stakeholders

• Must have an active Top Secret clearance required prior to start and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Desired Skills:
• Master's degree with strong Math, Physics, and/or Statistics background

• Active TS//SCI clearance

• Experience managing projects and personnel, often in ambiguous situations

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully between multiple engineering disciplines

• Experience with AFSIM

• Experience in the national security space mission area

• Experience with multiple national security and defense customers

• Strong communications and teamwork skills

• Unbridled enthusiasm for maintaining a team environment and developing young analysts

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $150,800 - $265,880. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
