Windows System Administrator Job Requirements
Lockheed Martin Enterprise Operations (EO) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-Time Windows System Administrator to support the Space business area's CPS classified program in Littleton, Colorado. As a key member of our team, you will apply your extensive technical expertise to administer and secure Windows-based classified networks, driving innovative solutions that ensure compliance, resilience, and mission success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary technical contact for senior external stakeholders on critical technical matters, representing the organization with expertise and professionalism
• Develop and implement technical solutions for complex challenges in classified IT environments, leveraging ingenuity and creativity to drive innovation and excellence
• Design, estimate, order, track, install, configure, secure, harden, remediate, test, upgrade, and decommission data center equipment, network switches, virtual servers, physical servers, client workstations, and network-attached storage equipment
• Provide application support to program engineers to ensure successful synergy between program deliverables and underlying IT infrastructure
• Ensure ongoing operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of multiple classified IT program environments
• Manage, control, and comply with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements
• Work with considerable independence and latitude to determine technical objectives and approaches, guiding the successful completion of major programs and assuming project leadership responsibilities as needed
• Influence the long-term performance and compliance of classified networks, ensuring the highest levels of security, reliability, and efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the integrity and continuity of classified operations
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience administering Microsoft Windows environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy
• Experience with Windows/Linux administration or NetApp storage systems
• Experience applying DISA STIGs and resolving security vulnerabilities
• Experience or knowledge of automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
• Security+ certification (or higher DoD 8570-compliant certification)
• Fundamental understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos, LDAP, and NTLM, and use of necessary tools to troubleshoot them
• Understanding of technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and WSUS
• Installation and configuration experience of Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 workstations and peripherals
• Experience with user account management, administration, and access controls
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• Five (5) years of experience in a System Administration role
• Experience with virtualization technologies, cloud integration (AWS or Microsoft Azure), or automation frameworks
• Familiarity with secure configuration baselines and compliance auditing in classified environments
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows Server 2016 certification
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification equivalent or higher
• VMware Certified Professional certification
• Understanding of Certificate Authorities (CA) and Public Key Infrastructure
Strong communication and leadership skills with experience guiding technical teams

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
