Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Configuration Manager to join our team in Washington, DC. The Configuration Manager will lead enterprise configuration management activities, oversee technical baselines, and ensure integrity of software and system releases throughout the lifecycle. This role provides guidance, governance, and hands-on support for configuration control across multiple environments.
Responsibilities of the Configuration Manager include:
• Implement configuration management discipline across full system lifecycle
• Create and maintain configuration baselines for development, test, and production environments
• Chair Configuration Control Board meetings and enforce change control processes
• Administer, monitor, and maintain software infrastructures and applications
• Conduct audits, inventories, and assessments to meet cybersecurity requirements
• Develop and maintain configuration management plans and documentation repositories
• Oversee software tracking, version control, and release integrity in multi-stage environments
Qualifications for the Configuration Manager include:
• Active DOE Q or Top Secret clearance
• 10+ years of experience in configuration management
• Expertise in technical baseline configurations for enterprise systems
• Experience with change control, version control systems, and CI/CD processes
• Familiarity with CM tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible) and scripting
• Ability to lead audits, manage documentation, and collaborate with cyber teams
Compensation for the Configuration Manager includes:
· Salary Range: $150,000 - $165,000 depending on experience
