Duties

  • You will guide employees on issues related to a sexual assault prevention and response program.
  • You will serve as point of contact for senior management, faculty, or staff regarding sexual assault response programs.
  • You will complete risk assessments and documentation for case review.
  • You will develop reports, information papers, talking points, briefing packages, or other Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program information for senior leaders.
  • You will provide victim advocacy services and crisis intervention support for adult victims of sexual assault.
  • You will perform complex assessments using trauma-informed approaches for reports of sexual assault
  • You will implement risk screening protocols and provide assistance to victims in securing treatment requested by the victims.
  • You will inform victims of resources available to report instances of sexual assault and provide victim tailored comprehensive referrals of resources to include victim advocacy, legal, and medical/mental healthcare.

  • Occasional travel outside the local area may be required, up to 25% for meetings, training, or other program related events, or needs.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain an active D-SAACP certification in accordance with (IAW) Section 584 of Public Law 112-81 and DoD Instruction (DoDI) 6495.03
  • Incumbent must be able to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays, in an on-call or rotational basis.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing sexual assault advocacy services; developing and implementing crisis plan of actions and sexual assault assistance plans; assisting with developing and coordinating command SAPR prevention and awareness campaigns or events; and conducting education and training sexual assault workshops/seminars..

Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
  • Degree : behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR
  • Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR
  • Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
In lieu of specialized experience , you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required specialized experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:
  • Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position OR
  • Successful completion of 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree. OR
  • A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
