SRG is seeking a senior-level planner to support U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) with strategic planning, operational planning, and coordination across military, interagency, and international partners. This role develops major contingency and operational plans, supports senior leader decision-making, and helps synchronize theater-wide activities.
This position is ideal for experienced military planners with advanced professional military education and a proven record of planning at the Combatant Command level.
MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL
Position Responsibilities:
Lead structured planning processes that support strategy development and major operations.
Develop and update operational plans, contingency plans, concepts, annexes, briefings, and supporting documents.
Conduct research and analysis to support senior leader decisions.
Coordinate planning actions with USCENTCOM directorates, military components, other U.S. Government agencies, and coalition partners.
Prepare written products including briefings, information papers, summaries, and assessments.
Support meetings, conferences, exercises, and multinational planning events.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an advanced military planning program:
JAWS, SAMS, SAASS, SAW, MAWS, or Senior Service College equivalent.
Master’s degree.
10+ years of military planning experience.
5+ years working at a Geographic or Functional Combatant Command headquarters.
Strong ability to write, brief, and collaborate in high-pressure environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in joint doctrine, especially the Joint Operational Planning Process.
Prior involvement in large-scale plan development (OPLANs/CONPLANs).
Experience working with interagency partners or coalition militaries.
Strong communication skills and experience producing senior-level documents
Active TS/SCI security clearance
