Collect, review, and analyze information in order to make recommendations to the Government. Define the nature and extent of problems. Analyze relevant data, which may include annual revenues, employment, or expenditures. Interview managers and employees while observing their operations. Develop solutions to problems. In the course of preparing recommendations, understand the nature of the organization, the relationship it has with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture. Prepare and solve mathematical models. Report findings and recommendations to the Government. Reports are usually submitted in writing, but oral presentations regarding findings also are common. For some projects, management analysts are retained to help implement the suggestions they have made.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Individual should possess a Bachelor’s of Science or Arts Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field from an accredited college or university with experience as outlined below. In lieu of the education requirement, individuals should have an additional five (5) years+ of prior military, Department of Defense or related business experience in Inventory Management, Logistics, or Plant Property & Equipment/Asset Management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: The experience should include three (3) years+ of experience with NAVY and NAVY Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) solutions and ten (10) years+ of experience with managing Department of Defense Logistics including Sponsor Owned Material (SOM) or OM&S. Relevant experience in a management capacity with responsibilities for material accountability, major projector program level management of contractors/subordinates, and performance of physical inventories of PP&E/AM or OM&S should be included. Working knowledge of DoD FMR Volume 4, Chapter 4, DoN Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA) Statement of Assurance, and SECNAV INSTRUCTION 4440.33 is desired.
CLEARANCE: Shall possess a favorably adjudicated PSI at a Tier 3 (T3) level.
