Position Summary:
Aegis Aerospace is currently seeking an IT System Engineer to join our team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the IRES contract at Schriever Space Force Base. This position will provide direct support to the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture (MDSEA) organization, focused on developing sustainable, integrated IT solutions.

Position Summary:
Aegis Aerospace is currently seeking an IT System Engineer to join our team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the IRES contract at Schriever Space Force Base. This position will provide direct support to the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture (MDSEA) organization, focused on developing sustainable, integrated IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will:
- Design and develop innovative IT solutions to enhance efficiency and long-term supportability of the MDSEA platform.
- Lead or contribute to the initiation and planning of technical projects, including requirements definition and artifact development in alignment with the system Technical Baseline.
- Document architectural designs and produce detailed implementation and test plans for execution by sustainment teams.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure system integration and compliance.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to produce documentation and artifacts in support of design reviews and stakeholder engagements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Must have 5 or more years of systems engineering experience
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in a management or leadership role
- Must have experience developing and editing DoDAF or UAF products for IT systems
- Must have experience designing IT infrastructure systems including identity management, virtualization, storage, networking, and compute resources
- Must be capable of decomposing complex systems into manageable components
- Must have experience developing implementation plans for IT solutions
- Must have experience with requirements management and an understanding of the Systems Engineering V Model
- Must demonstrate critical thinking and troubleshooting skills related to IT system dependencies and impacts

- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related STEM field
