Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Renton, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment, upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities within the location.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to company and client protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide assistance to employees and visitors.
• Adhere to all Allied Universal and client policies regarding the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
