Cyber Systems Engineer
The Opportunity:

As a Cyber engineer on our project, you'll provide Cybersecurity engineering services to support the client's mission. You'll coordinate work with teams to identify the right mix of tools and te chn iques to translate your c us tomer's needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you'll investigate new te chn iques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the ind us try is going. You'll help lead the team through a critical approach to system design, providing alternatives and c us tomizing solutions, to maintain a balance of security and mission needs. You'll apply expertise in systems engineering to requirements analysis and allocation, architecture analysis and design, te chn ology assessment, and metrics development. You'll provide operational support, including tool testing in an operational environment and coordinating and resolving issues with vendors and other appropriate personnel. You'll develop and apply advanced methods, theories, and research te chn iques to the investigation and resolution of complex project requirements and te chn ical specifications for sof tware development projects and plan and direct full life cycle projects or major phases of projects for highly visible te chn ical solution programs. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 5+ years of experience with systems engineering, test engineering, sof tware development lifecycles, or system design, implementation, or administration
- Experience with software testing and software release processes
- Experience with Bash or Python scripting
- Experience with virtualization products, such as VMWare Esxi and VMWare Workstation
- Experience with Linux operating system setup and configuration, such as Debian or Ubuntu
- Experience with troubleshooting or triaging issues, and assessing new products
- Experience with configuring Cisco switch or Wi-Fi hardware
- Experience with EDHCP, DNS, or docker server services
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with Atlassian product
- Experience with creating Docker images and running containers
- Experience with software configuration and build tools, such as Git, Make, Bitbucket, or Bamboo
- Experience with Android, iOS, or Linux operating systems
- Experience with sof tware development and code review
- Knowledge of software vulnerabilities and exploits
- Knowledge of the intelligence community ( IC ) mission, vision, goals, and values
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
