Responsibilities
- We are looking for a mid-senior level experienced and talented Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Analyst in the Harpoon/SLAM-ER/JSOW (HAMERSOW) Technical Project Office (TPO) in China Lake, CA. As a member of the TPO team, the M&S analyst will occasionally interface with FXDO engineers and analysts in the development of cutting-edge Naval Weapons Systems. The candidate will support test activities, process test data, execute simulations and generate reports that document survivability impacts.
Responsibilities
- Interface with the intelligence community and participate in threat working groups.
- Develop and execute threat models as well as creating and maintaining documentation for the models/tools.
- Plan and execute weapon system performance and tactical usage studies.
- Create and set up test cases, execute runs, and process data.
- Coordinate and support component testing, analyze test data, and generate reports/briefing material of results.
- Update Fleet technical documentation.
- Work closely with engineers, analysts, and the intelligence community to ensure alignment and incorporate diverse perspectives into simulations.
- Engineering support for FMS programs which may include reviewing and providing input to Engineering Change Proposals, Requests for Variances and other technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Required:
- BS degree in engineering or other related field from an accredited college or university.
- Desired:
- MS degree in engineering or other related fields from an accredited college or university.
- Required:
- Skills & Experience:
- Required:
- 3+ years' experience in engineering or analysis work, with some experience in survivability modeling and simulation.
- Experience with MATLAB and mission level modeling such as Suppressor.
- Ability to quickly learn new M&S tools and methods, adapting and evolving project needs and technologies.
- Effectively communicate complex simulation results and technical concepts in reports, presentations, and discussions with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Highly motivated and capable of working in a dynamic security environment.
- Team-oriented with the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, and produce quality products efficiently.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Desired:
- Experience with air vehicle radar signatures, T&E, threat systems, or EA.
- Basic understanding of signal processing and some knowledge of RF sensors.

- The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
