About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a dynamic team where your expertise will directly shape applications critical to mission success. This role is a unique opportunity to apply advanced Java development skills while expanding your experience with frameworks like Quarkus and PrimeFaces. As part of a collaborative Agile team, you will help design and deliver innovative solutions that improve how data is managed, moved, and leveraged across the enterprise. This position is ideal for an advanced developer who is excited about solving complex challenges, building impactful software, and growing their career.
The project supports a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians. The products facilitate the capture of information and approvals that allow for the movement of data through the customer mission space in a compliant manner. These products are critical to standardize and simplify data movement as well as data reuse and integration with downstream tools. The TTO is performed out of a Peraton facility and offers flexible hours and telework opportunities.

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and enhance Java-based applications in support of mission requirements.
- Collaborate with an Agile team to translate customer needs into high-value features and capabilities.
- Leverage Quarkus and PrimeFaces to create scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions.
- Support the integration of applications with downstream systems and tools.
- Ensure compliance with security and data management standards while enabling data innovation.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and 17 years of experience. Note: Four (4) additional years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 10 years demonstrated experience developing software using Java.
- Proven experience in the following areas:
- Designing and implementing complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints.
- Performing quality control and review of team products.
- Implementing recommendations to improve documentation and software development process standards.
- Collaborating with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements, and identify project limitations, performance requirements, and interfaces.
- Coordinating software system installations and monitoring equipment functions to ensure operational specifications are met.
