Description:
You will be a Software Engineer for the Common Real Time Executive (CORE) team. Our team is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of common simulation software infrastructure products utilized by the Aeronautics Simulation and System Integration Labs (SSL) department in support of all Aeronautics Lines of Business.

What You Will Be Doing:
As a Software Engineer on the CORE team, you will responsible for the design, development, integration, test and deployment of simulation software products. Your responsibilities will include:
• Working as a member of a cross-site team to plan and implement new capabilities.
• Designing and developing infrastructure capabilities and tools using C++, Python and Java and object oriented techniques
• Integrating, testing and supporting deployed CORE software in Hardware-in-the-Loop and Man-in-the-Loop simulation systems

This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM discipline.

• Java, Python and/or C++ programming experience

• Experience using Object-Oriented Design techniques

• Experience with Linux operating systems

• Must be a US Citizen, this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with containerized development environments (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, Podman)

• Knowledge of Redhat Package Manager (RPM)

• Five or more years of experience in C++, Python and/or Java programming

• Five or more years of experience using Object-Oriented Design techniques.

• Experience with JIRA

• Experience with Gitlab

• Familiarity with simulation systems (Hardware-in-the-Loop or Man-in-the-Loop)

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
