We are seeking a Quality Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating product precision and accuracy in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements. This role analyzes reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems, as well as field and clinical data. The engineer investigates root causes, develops dispositions, and recommends corrective action plans. Additional responsibilities include supporting material review board activities, participating in PFMEA, collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams, and providing defect trend analysis for corrective action boards.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation standards and procedures.
Analyze reported nonconformities and discrepancies across mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, and process systems.
Investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Support Material Review Board (MRB) and PFMEA activities.
Work closely with manufacturing engineers on defect disposition to support the production floor.
Prepare and present defect trend analysis reports for the Corrective Action Board (CAB).
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with requirements.
Work under moderate supervision while achieving operational targets with departmental impact.
Preferred Skills / Knowledge
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 (preferred)
Knowledge of IPC-A-620
Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills
Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
Advanced job knowledge and technical skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (interim clearance acceptable to start)
