Linux Systems Engineer
Program Description:
CSFC is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure Linux-based systems supporting CSFC solutions.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Manage, maintain, and monitor ESGI systems to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
Administer and support VMware and Horizon virtual environments, including vCenter and vSAN.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows systems that interface with Linux environments (e.g., RHEL).
Operate and maintain mixed virtual and physical infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network components.
Support and maintain RFI boxes for system testing, integration, and operational readiness.
Maintain daily caches, backups, and data integrity for critical systems.
Apply security patches, updates, and performance tuning to ensure systems meet DoD, NSA CSfC, and other relevant compliance standards.
Develop and maintain system scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
Document system configurations, test procedures, results, and provide training materials as needed.
Provide Tier 2 and 3 support, including escalation during outages or critical incidents.
Configure and manage PKI/Certificate Authority systems for secure communications.
Evaluate systems and recommend improvements, hardware, or software solutions to enhance performance.
