SNI Technology/Paladin is hiring a Senior Configuration Management Analyst on behalf of a long-standing federal-defense partner.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Configuration Management Analyst to support IT systems, documentation, and asset configuration management within the Hill Component Enterprise Data Center (CEDC). This role ensures accurate configuration documentation, strong change control, and alignment with NIST/DoD compliance standards.
The analyst will also play a key role in supporting an upcoming multi-cloud transition (OCI, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and will serve as a CM subject-matter expert, managing document repositories, processes, and baselines using Jira, Confluence, and other CM tools.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain CM documentation for systems and assets, including configuration identification, change control, and status accounting.
Stand up a central CM documentation repository (such as Confluence) within the first two weeks.
Develop and maintain configuration baselines for IT programs in compliance with government standards.
Create, maintain, and enforce CM plans for hardware, software, and infrastructure.
Manage change processes, including tracking change requests, impact analysis, and change notices using Jira and other CM tools.
Maintain IT asset inventories and custodian documentation.
Track software licensing documentation, renewals, and compliance with DoD policies.
Analyze proposed system design changes and evaluate impacts to baselines and documentation.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to validate and maintain accurate CM documentation.
Participate in project and configuration control meetings.
Mentor junior staff in CM best practices and documentation standards.
Required Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred)
CompTIA Security+ certification required
Active Secret Clearance required
Preferred certifications: CDMP, ICM Configuration Management II
Required Experience
5+ years of experience in configuration management or document management within IT environments.
Experience supporting IT systems, hardware, software, or infrastructure documentation cycles.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge
NIST/DoD compliance frameworks
Software licensing management
Familiarity with cloud platforms (OCI, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
Skills
Strong proficiency with CM tools, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite
