Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience experience using regulations on the movement of air traffic and airfield space to assess navigational aids; develop air traffic procedures for operation and management of airspace; coordinate the development of air regulations and procedures to establish uniformity in control, flight assistance, and communication procedures; and provide guidance on air traffic and airspace operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Help
- Manages all air traffic and airspace assets and provides technical expertise.
- Provides direction, evaluation, coordination, and advice on Air Traffic and Airspace operations, management and training.
- Develops and recommends policy and plans to support the use of navigable airspace.
- Develops plans to meet new airspace mission requirements, for airspace improvements, modifications or expansion.

- One year trial/probationary period may be required.

- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Control Program and requires to sign a DA 5019 and must pass urinalysis testing prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- This position requires the incumbent to report to work or remain as scheduled to support mission operations during the event of sever weather conditions or other such emergency type situations.
- This position requires to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
