The incumbent will be responsible for directing, developing, and performing multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) goals and mission.
As a Logistics Management Specialist (FMS) at the NH-0346-3 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Directs, develops, and performs multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) goals and mission. Logistics includes: (1) advising MDA's Foreign Military Sales (FMS) partners on matters related to developing the Total Package Approach to Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs) for current and future FMS Cases. (2) identifying the specific requirements for funding, manpower, material, facilities, and services required to support the FMS Program Manager's cost, schedule and performance objectives (3) correlating objectives with Program plans to assure the required logistics support is provided at the right time.
- Completion of logistic work requires ability to coordinate and evaluate logistics support in consideration of the twelve Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements (maintenance planning and management; manpower and personnel; supply support; support equipment; sustaining engineering; training and training support; packaging, handling, storage and transportation; facilities and infrastructure; computer resources support; technical data; product support management; design influence and interface) in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and FMS policies.
- Manage logistics duties with the FMS Logistics Team to support the development of training, transportation, supply support, contractor logistics support and spares provisioning requirements of FMS Cases.
- Coordinate with Military Departments (MILDEPs) and International Logistics Control Offices(ILCOs) to facilitate the execution of MDA FMS programs. Develop and conduct briefings to MDA and Leadership on FMS LOA cases.

- Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Experience in logistics policy, planning and assessment and experience exercising assigned duties in an organization with an acquisition, research and development mission. Apply logistics processes, policies, procedures, and practices necessary to develop and assess technical and economic feasibility, including cost schedule and performance.
- Identify and apply policies and practices of logistics management as they apply to new and legacy systems during the sustainment phase of the life cycle.
- Experience with acquisition program planning and management principles and methods such as capability-based acquisition, incremental developmental, resource and schedule planning, and project planning and management. Use methods and tools to effectively mitigate risks, including planning for risk, assessing (identifying and analyzing) risk areas, and developing risk-handling options.
- Experience in all functions of Program Management, Acquisition Logistics, Material Management, Supply, Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Product Assurance as it relates to Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
