The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking experienced System Engineers to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.

As part of the NGI Engineering team, you will perform tasks related to the development of the overall system. You should have a thorough understanding of at least one of the key system engineering subject areas with the opportunity to work in all Engineering fields to include system architecture, requirement allocation, requirement verification, and system integration.
In addition, you will:
• Support program reviews such as SRR, PDR, PDTIM, and CDR
• Participate in Specification and Interface Control Document development as well as support the process to include the development of Test Plans
• You may also support missile system analyses in support of mission planning and ability to implement as well as tests at various test ranges
• Some travel may be required
• Be involved in all phases of the project development (e.g., architecture development, CONOPS, definition, qualification, integration assembly, and test)
• Work in a team environment and collaborate with multiple subject areas, program management, and customers to help aim for a complete solution

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience and full knowledge of processes in one or more of the following areas:
1. Systems Engineering approach and processes
2. Requirement definition, decomposition, and allocation
3. Interface definition (ICD, IBDs, IDDs)
4. Missile system analyses used in requirement derivation and verification
5. Planning and coordinating Hardware and/or software testing for verification
6. Performing System Integration
7. Support to major reviews
8. Writing Specifications
9. DOORS
• Active or Current Secret Security clearance; US Citizenship Required
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited college
• Customer interface experience
• Experience with the following:
1. Presenting at major reviews
2. Missile system experience
3. MatLab, and/or other or analysis tools
4. Hardware/Software Development
5. Missile or Weapon System Development
6. Performance, Functional, or Software
7. CONOPS or Architecture Development
8. Support to System Level trade studies

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
