Summary:
● Design, develop, deploy, and monitor mission dataflow and infrastructure capabilities for an operational cyber mission customer.
Qualifications & Compensation:
● 8+ years of relevant software or dataflow engineering experience (or 12+ years without a degree); total compensation is approximately $259,440 per year.
● Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
● Experience managing and improving dataflow pipelines, including use of data engineering platforms such as NiFi.
● Hands-on experience with containerization platforms and development in a Linux environment.
● Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence).
● Preferred: experience programming in Python, Go, and Java; familiarity with modern monitoring/metrics tooling (e.g., dashboards, telemetry, and observability stacks); knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.
Job Description:
● Work with mission operators and analysts to understand operational needs and translate them into robust infrastructure and tooling.
● Design, develop, deploy, and maintain operational network infrastructure and associated dataflow pipelines.
● Provide dataflow expertise and drive process improvement for ingest, transport, transformation, and delivery of mission data.
● Expand and enhance health-monitoring tools and dashboards to provide clear visibility into system status and performance.
● Use open-source and proprietary software to collect metrics from applications, hardware, and network appliances, turning raw data into actionable insights.
● Collaborate closely with a diverse technical team to identify issues, prototype solutions, and iteratively deploy improvements into production.
● Communicate regularly with the customer, gathering feedback on project status and results and incorporating that feedback into future work.
