What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of a team desiging and implementing adaptative spectrum software solutions to respond to radio frequency activity on Viasat's satellite communication networks. In this role you will leverage RF expertise to build RF data products. As part of an Agile software team, you will participate in software design, code with best practices, continuous integration, automated data and metics collection, and internal-customer feature coordination and support.

What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of a team desiging and implementing adaptative spectrum software solutions to respond to radio frequency activity on Viasat's satellite communication networks. In this role you will leverage RF expertise to build RF data products. The day-to-day
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Design of Eletromagnetic Interference (EMI) data products
- Mentoring other team members
- Work within a cross functional team to develop the EMI data products
- Analyze RF signals and characterize their behaviors
- Design triangulation systems for geolocation
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of RF signal flow and equipment
- Experience using RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzer
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency and waveform concepts for SATCOM systems
- Proficient in using MATLAB, Python, or other tools for data analysis and signal processing
- Ability to identify and mitigate interference patterns in RF signals, similar to interference patterns identified in satellite beams.
What will help you on the job
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams to align on projects and development efforts in defining RF data products.
- Understanding of techniques such as triangulation, trilateration, and multilateration for geolocation purposes.
- Proficiency in analyzing and manipulating RF signals.
- Familiarity with link budgets.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret RF data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excited to learn new domains and skills
