Salary Range:

$100,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Field Service Representative (FSR) (Technician) to join our team on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska to support our customer, PdM Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS).

Duties:

Collaborate with military customers to gain a full understanding of their operational needs and/or issue(s) to be resolved.
Effectively manage time to respond to service calls in a timely fashion.
Complete site surveys, system installations, troubleshooting procedures, and perform system operational checks.
Perform small scale (move, adds, or changes of client's) equipment as needed.
Provide classroom instruction and practical, hands-on instruction in operational environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they occur.
Provide basic system administration training to technical users.

Required Skills & Experience:

Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Must have experience installing, repairing, troubleshooting electronic systems.
Must have instructor experience to provide Programs of Instruction to military customers.
Must work well within a team environment, have good interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with customers and OEM vendors (for example: vendors for sensor systems and vehicle platforms).
Physically able to deploy and conduct the necessary physical actions.
Advanced knowledge of Firearms, Night Vision and Thermal equipment typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Required Clearance:

ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret

Qualifications:

Associate degree (AA/AS) and at least seven (7) years of related work experience, required.
Completed Military Instructor Course or equivalent, required.
Must have prior military experience (11B Ranger Qualified or 18 Series, preferred).
Nett Warrior background, desired.

Travel:

Not less than 50% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States (CONUS) and outside continental United States (OCONUS) locations. Must be able to travel from OCONUS home base to various training locations both OCONUS and CONUS.

Work Environment:

This position will be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, government offices, military bases and depots, warehouse/maintenance shops, and/or field environments that include extended periods outdoors.

Physical Demands:

Physical demands of this position include ability to:

Be independently mobile.
Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.
Operate powered vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
Lift/push/pull objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
