OT Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Chantilly, VA (75% Travel Required)

Security Clearance: Ability to obtain Interim Clearance required
About the Role
We are seeking experienced OT Cyber Security Engineers to support mission-critical industrial and operational technology environments across multiple project sites. This role focuses on securing industrial control systems (ICS), deploying advanced cybersecurity practices, and supporting national-level infrastructure programs. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy travel and onsite system support.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design and architecture of secure OT networks in alignment with industry security standards.
Conduct cybersecurity assessments of OT/ICS environments, identify risk exposure, and guide mitigation and remediation strategies.
Assist in integrating secure OT infrastructure, including switches, servers, firewalls, virtual environments, and related technologies.
Perform forensic analysis on OT devices to support incident investigations.
Develop and deliver consultative OT security services such as:
Attack emulation & penetration testing
Threat hunting
Deception operations
Travel to project sites to support ICS networks, converged platforms, virtualization, and security technologies.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, including leading technical engagements.
Experience with OT network monitoring, data collection, and security assessment tools.
Strong technical background conducting OT security reviews and risk evaluations.
Working knowledge of industrial control protocols such as DNP, Modbus, SEL, IEC-61850 (serial & IP-based).
GICSP certification is required (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional).
Ideal Candidates May Also Have
Experience in incident response, digital forensics, or malware analysis within OT environments.
Background in utilities, energy, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure.
Experience with virtualization platforms, ICS firewalls, and converged OT/IT systems.
