V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Lead Data Engineer (Remote) for our premier client.
Education and Experience "
Must have:
- 5-8+ years in EDW/ETL; 2 - 3+ hands on legacy cloud migrations.
- Oracle EDW & PL/SQL: Packages, procedures, performance tuning, partitioning.
- Informatica PowerCenter & Informatica Cloud/IDI: mappings, workflows, sessions, parameters, CDC.
- Schedulers: Automic or Control-M - job chains, calendars, dependencies, restartability.
- GCP: BigQuery (partitioning/clustering, cost/performance), Cloud Storage, IAM/service accounts.
- Composer/Airflow: DAG design, idempotency, retries, SLAs, secrets management.
- Dataform/DBT: model DAGs, sources, tests (unique/not null), CI on PRs.
- Spark/Dataproc: PySpark data processing, partitioning, shuffle optimization.
- Strong SQL (ANSI & BigQuery dialect) and Python for connectors/utilities.
- Dimensional modeling: star Schema, SCD Types 1/2, surrogate keys.
Nice to have skills:
- Data quality frameworks (Great Expectations/dbt tests).
- Observability: logging/metrics, OpenLineage, Airflow monitoring.
- Security/IAM depth: least privilege, secret management, key rotation.
- Cost optimization for BigQuery/Dataproc slot reservations and autoscaling.
- Data Catalog/lineage tooling; Terraform for IaC.
