Forensics Intern

MANTECH seeks a Forensics Intern for their DFEND program in Herndon, VA.

DFEND (Dominion Forensic Engineering and Development) is an internship for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field. Interns receive meaningful, challenging assignments at an individual and group level.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working five days/week in a real-world lab environment on-site in Herndon, VA.
• Conducting forensics research and development in hardware engineering, programming, reverse engineering, computer forensics and mobile forensics.
• Additional responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Current full-time student pursuing a BS or MS in CS, CE or a related field with a projected graduation date no earlier than December 2026
• Experience with Python, C# or other scripting languages
• Familiarity with a mix of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux distros)
• Interest in Digital Forensics
• Ability to work on-site in Herndon, VA

Clearance Requirements

• Must possess and Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
