Role and Position Objectives:
Ideal candidates demonstrate a passion for innovation, teamwork, and a strong sense of ownership. The ideal candidate also has extensive experience designing HDI printed circuit/wiring boards for high-speed designs, is well versed in MIL and IPC Standards, and is familiar with the current Siemens/Mentor Graphics tools including Xpedition Design and Layout, Valor (artwork checking tool), Constraint Editor/Constraint Manager (CES), and Drawing Editor.:
• A minimum of two years’ experience using Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
• Experience with library management practices.
• Experience with ECAD/PCB layout design processes.

• You will perform detailed layout design and documentation of printed circuit boards under direction from a team of electrical and mechanical engineers
• You will work from schematics, part lists, and basic description of the board function, constraints, configuration, and arrangement as defined by the team of electrical and mechanical engineers
• You will use the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition toolset, including Layout, Valor, DRC Hazard Checker, Constraint Editor/Constraint Manager (CES), Drawing Editor, and other related tools
• You will create electronic library symbols, geometry, footprints, etc
• You will run Valor and DRC Hazard checks to ensure your work is error-free and the design will meet expectations
• You will check drawings against the project inputs for correctness and conformance to standard engineering drafting practices and standards

Education:
Associate’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred or obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
