Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Engineer Systems to join our team of individuals within our Product Support organization for the Triton Program located in Rancho Bernardo, CA. This leadership role will be fulltime in the office with a Hybrid option with increased travel responsibilities, including international travel.

Primary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

You will support and work directly with the Triton Sustainment Program Office, and customer operations in a variety of locations. This may include all aspects for overseeing, sustaining operations, and providing timely, knowledge-based Product Support direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- The position will include managing ongoing Product Support statement of work in support of 12 disciplines across the Triton Program
- Manages schedules and status reports, staffing forecasting and Triton Sustainment proposals for Product Support.
- Assess project cost and schedule issues and the development of resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction, goals, and objectives.
- Supports borrow/paybacks, direct material support and goods movement support are required.
- Support UAS upgrade planning and site execution preparations.
- Support reviews of current and future Statements of Work (SOW) and provide direction and priorities to the Product Support Organization.
- Scheduling activities, working directly with the customer, while building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Prepares, develops and coordinates the integration plans and integrated schedules to meet all sustainment objectives.
- Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated within Product Support.
- Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 8 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, logistics, product support, and/or business management related functions, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 6 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience.
- Material and labor account earned value management experience
- Demonstrated financial management skills including development and control of program budgets, schedules, Estimate at Complete (EAC), and the ability to recognize and capture program changes.
- Ability to influence and drive results without direct authority of personnel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated DoD Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
- Must have an active passport and be willing and able to travel internationally with an active passport.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cost Account Manager (CAM) Certified.
- Completed relevant coursework or certifications for an unmanned systems/platform that demonstrates a blend of technical, regulatory, and practical skills.
- Experience in one or several areas/disciplines of Agile/DevSecOps methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing environments, while maintaining consistently high customer relations, service and engagement.
- Experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills with proven ability to develop and maintain strong internal/external customer relationships.
- The ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of business and financial concepts, tools and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions, and performance.
- The ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts.
- The ability to address program uncertainty through an organized and analytical forward-looking approach that identifies risks and opportunities, determines appropriate handling plans, and manages, controls, and communicates risks and opportunities.
