Description:Join us as a(n) Electronics Engineer where you will be able to you work alongside experienced engineers in the Conventional Prompt Strike Navy Launcher IPT to collaborate across organizations to help meet safety, technical rigor, and schedule.

Location: This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

The Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) is experiencing significant growth and we need YOUR expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers. We have opportunities that include maintaining existing/upcoming technology insertions to our advanced Hypersonic vehicle.

Supporting both the design update and production phases provides you with tremendous career growth potential along with meaningful assignments to stretch and hone your expertise. This is a rare opportunity to work closely alongside our Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) partners to field a number of future strategic systems that the nation urgently needs.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

• Assist or Lead the Electrical Components product engineers in the technical development of the Supplier's and LM product design and manufacturing baselines (ordnance pin puller, motorized pin actuator & eject interlock, power conversion unit, weapon safe and arm eject device)
• Support Make/ Buy decisions for products not yet with an identified design agent and manufacturing supplier
• Prepare briefing materials for use at internal and external reviews
• Assist in the development and maintenance of design, analysis, test and as-built artifacts/work products to support product certification/ verification; review and coordinate subcontract or contract data requirement submissions
• Support peer reviews, Engineering Review Boards, Product pre-shipment reviews
• Participate on Failure Review Board investigation teams and support Material Review Boards for nonconforming material
• Participate in relationship building with our Supplier and Test facilities through consistent positive engagement

To be effective in this role, you will need:

• Experience in designing and troubleshooting electronic hardware.
• Previously worked on integrated product teams.
5+ years of professional experience for this role.
• Although no clearance is required to start, you must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Experience with full product life cycle - Knowledge of the definition, interpretation, and implementation of design requirements, coordination and execution of hardware designs, development and integration of hardware

• Electrical/electro-mechanical engineering, missile and/or aerospace related experience

• Resolve component/box level test anomalies and troubleshooting activities by interfacing with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., Certified Test Conductors, Quality Engineering, Program Leadership, etc.)

• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• Desire to become Product Responsible Engineer or equivalent (dCPE/CPE). - desired
• Adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problems.
• Support Manufacturing, Production, and Test activities.
• Preparation for and participation in major program design reviews (Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Manufacturing Design Review, Test Readiness Review).
• Experience in Worst Case Analysis (WCA) and/or Part-Stress Analysis
• Knowledge of functional and environmental test methodologies/requirements used on missile, launch vehicle, and/or satellite programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience presenting to peers, leadership, and/or customers
• Delegate CPE training, experience
• Subcontracting technical support
• Quality nonconforming material disposition support (repair, re-use determinations)
• Failure Review Board technical support; Root Cause and Corrective Action training and experience
• Experienced at leading teams through challenging engineering and/or programmatic issues
• Navy customer interaction (surface, submarine, or strategic systems)

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
