In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, Supply Clerical and Technician Series 2005
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NJ-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include in Knowledge of supply operations, program requirements. and administrative policies and practices to analyze, evaluate, and manage functions related to receiving, maintaining, and issuing individual protective equipment. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions to include applicable explosive safety standards, security programs, and small arms and maintenance requirements. Knowledge of individual Protective Equipment and data entry and processing of supply transactions in automated supply inventory and accountability systems, to include the Standard Base Supply System, MICAS and munitions accountability.

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1.Knowledge of supply operations, program requirements. and administrative policies and practices to analyze, evaluate, and manage functions related to receiving, maintaining, and issuing individual protective equipment.
2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions to include applicable explosive safety standards, security programs, and small arms and maintenance requirements.
4. Knowledge of individual Protective Equipment and data entry and processing of supply transactions in automated supply inventory and accountability systems, to include the Standard Base Supply System, MICAS and munitions accountability.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Plans organizes, and directs the activities of, Material Management Flight, Asset Management Section, ensuring that Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) Element complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- Represents Material Management Flight with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- Performs the full range of Mobility Bags and Mobility weapons vault duties on the military installation. Formulates goals, plans, policies, procedures, and work plans dealing with the development and operation of the IPE.
- Ensures the integrity of Equipment Accountability Systems data base, signs Mobility Weapons CA/CRL, and signs Munitions Accounts for SBD1.
