Overview

The Computer Programmer II plays an essential role in sustaining and enhancing software applications that support these highly technical engineering and logistics environments. This position requires strong programming and debugging skills, comfort working with database back ends, and experience developing or maintaining web-based applications. The ideal candidate thrives in a mission-focused, team-oriented environment and meets Department of Defense cybersecurity certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain software applications that support engineering, logistics, and configuration management functions.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software errors within existing systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and IT personnel to refine user requirements and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Integrate databases and optimize back-end functionality to support application performance and data integrity.
  • Support web-based application development, testing, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity and information assurance standards.

Required Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical fiel

Experience
  • Three (3) years of experience with programming applications and database back ends. Debugging and correcting software errors in existing systems.
    Familiarity with web-based application design and development.

Certifications (One required)
  • Security+ CE
  • A+ CE
  • CNA-Security
  • Network+ CE
  • SSCP

  • Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.
