Job Description Summary
This is a GME role in Misawa, Japan (SOFA Status). Must be a US Citizen according to the USAF Task Work Specification.

The GE Field Representative provides the customer with technical advice and guidance on operational, intermediate and depot level maintenance of the F110-GE-110 and F110-GE-129 engines in the USAF F-16 platform, based in Misawa, Japan and Osan/Kusan, South Korea.

All resources and logistics are required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering.

This role is based in Misawa, Japan (SOFA Status), with additional support responsibilities in Osan/Kusan, South Korea. As part of the Field Services team, you will play a critical role in supporting the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and contractor personnel in the operation, maintenance, and repair of F110-GE-110 and F110-GE-129 engines for the F-16 platform. This position requires a U.S. Citizen per the USAF Task Work Specification.
Role Overview

As a GE Field Representative, you will provide technical advice, training, and guidance to USAF and contractor personnel on the operation, maintenance, and repair of GE F110 engines. This role involves working independently, managing your workload, travel, and budget, while ensuring compliance with GE Aerospace's high standards of integrity and excellence. You will also contribute to maintenance planning, field data analysis, and customer engagement to drive operational success.
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide advice and direction to USAF and contractor personnel on the operation, maintenance, and repair of F110-GE-110 and F110-GE-129 engines and interface systems for the F-16 aircraft.
  • Training: Deliver on-the-job training to maintenance personnel on techniques such as adjustment, calibration, troubleshooting, bench checks, routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of GE engines.
  • Tool and Equipment Guidance: Provide instruction on the use of authorized GE special tools and test equipment.
  • Safety Emphasis: Ensure safety precautions are emphasized during all training activities.
  • Technical Interpretation: Assist with the interpretation of data, technical instructions, and engine modifications.
  • Field Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and report in-service field data to GE Aerospace Project Engineering for safety, reliability, and component improvement initiatives.
  • Customer Liaison: Relay relevant information to customers regarding field issues or improvements and assist with maintenance planning, forecasting, and component repair processing.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze maintenance difficulties and recommend changes to maintenance, inspection, and training programs to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Independent Work: Operate independently, managing personal workload, travel, and budget with unyielding compliance and integrity.
  • Travel: Travel to domestic and international locations as required to support customer needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university OR a High School Diploma/GED with significant experience in a field service/maintenance position.
  • Experience:
    • Significant experience in a field service or maintenance position supporting military and/or commercial engine programs.
    • F110 engine experience.
    • Previous experience in Customer Service Management.
  • Eligibility:
    • U.S. Citizenship (required per USAF Task Work Specification).
    • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
    • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
    • Ability and willingness to relocate to domestic or international locations to support business needs.
    • Proven ability to work independently without technical guidance.

  • The base pay range for this position is $ 93,800.00 - 124,900.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on December 2nd, 2025.
