Required Skills & Qualifications
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Degree in Engineering (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering)
- Must be a US Citizen due to program security requirements
- Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance
- Minimum of 1.5 years professional experience
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with inertial instruments
- Self-motivated individuals who can work with little supervision and take initiative
- Mastery of design tools appropriate for the field (MiniTab, Access, MS Office Suite, etc.)
- Six Sigma certification and demonstrated use of tools
- Demonstrated previous program experience and success
- Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, appropriate for the topic and audience
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability improvements and implement changes
- Develop robust processes that drive product and business goals
- Test products and analyze data to publish results
- Perform failure analysis using formal processes and communicate results
- Create documentation and communicate status to leadership
- Train factory personnel as part of transition activities
- Travel within the US and/or internationally may be required - 10%
