Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Troy, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a high-profile aerospace and defense location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a strong visible presence, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, in accordance with established policies for an aerospace and defense environment.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency services personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location.
• Operate security-related equipment such as radios, surveillance systems, and alarm panels as required for the post.
• Maintain a visible and professional presence to help to deter potential security-related threats and provide reassurance to personnel at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
