Position Summary:
Analytic Services Inc. (ANSER) is seeking a Technical Editor and Correspondence Manager to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear Deterrence, Chemical, and Biological Defense Policy and Programs OASD(ND-CBD). In this key role, you will support correspondence management efforts to include writing, editing, and formatting staff action packages, publications, and supporting documentation prepared by senior leadership and policy analysts.
This position requires job duties to be performed full-time onsite at the Pentagon.

Position Summary:
Analytic Services Inc. (ANSER) is seeking a Technical Editor and Correspondence Manager to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear Deterrence, Chemical, and Biological Defense Policy and Programs OASD(ND-CBD). In this key role, you will support correspondence management efforts to include writing, editing, and formatting staff action packages, publications, and supporting documentation prepared by senior leadership and policy analysts.
This position requires job duties to be performed full-time onsite at the Pentagon.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance in developing effective methodologies for monitoring staff actions, including monitoring the inputs and outputs of all ASD(ND-CBD) tasks, regardless of origin.
- Provide editing and quality assurance support for all ASD(ND-CBD) generated correspondence.
- Manage and track correspondence within the office, across the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and the interagency to include monitoring various OASD(ND-CBD) assignments using the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) systems to ensure timely and coordinated responses.
- Liaise with other offices within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)) and Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (OUSD(P)) to monitor assignments for ASD(ND-CBD) read-aheads (RAHs). Coordinate, develop, and manage ASD(ND-CBD) RAH package preparation.
- Monitor congressional issues that influence OASD(ND-CBD) and track required congressional report responses.
- Monitor Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and issuances for OASD(ND-CBD).
- Assist with managing and refining OASD(ND-CBD) hard copy and electronic filing systems to ensure records are properly maintained, organized, and in a user-friendly storage convention.
- Assist with office management duties including calendar and conference room management, greeting visitors, and other general office functions, as needed.
- Support other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with current SCI eligibility (TS/SCI).
- Bachelor's degree and 13+ years of experience or Master's degree and 10+ years of experience.
- 2+ years of experience working in support of Senior Joint Staff/OSD/Pentagon leadership.
- 2+ years of experience Technical Writing/Editing or managing correspondence for a federal client
- 2+ years of experience with the DoD/OSD correspondence processes and familiarity with the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).
- 2+ years of experience with Records and Information Management (RIM) marking and handling federal records in accordance with the Federal Records Act, DoD Records and Information Management Directives, NARA regulations and guidelines, and OSD Policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in English, writing, or equivalent education
- Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced work environment.
