MANTECH seeks a motivated, career-oriented Launch System Facilities Integration Engineer to join our team in the Cape Canaveral, FL area.
This full-time, onsite role serves as the Lead Launch System Facilities Integration Engineer, delivering strategic technical leadership and specialized expertise in support of the SSC AATS National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Launch Vehicle Mission Assurance (LVMA) Teams under the SE&I-2 Contract. You will provide engineering insight across a wide range of U.S. launch providers and their respective facilities.

This full-time, onsite role serves as the Lead Launch System Facilities Integration Engineer, delivering strategic technical leadership and specialized expertise in support of the SSC AATS National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Launch Vehicle Mission Assurance (LVMA) Teams under the SE&I-2 Contract. You will provide engineering insight across a wide range of U.S. launch providers and their respective facilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- You will help coordinate and assess the performance of complex launch processing facilities and infrastructure in support of NSSL operations:
- Conduct engineering evaluations, briefings, and reviews of launch processing facilities, infrastructure systems, and support equipment
- Prepare monthly reports including facility status, logistics life-cycle updates, risk assessments, and integration charts
- Perform facility requirements analysis and engineering design reviews to identify operational shortfalls
- Lead resolution efforts for critical facility issues impacting launch readiness and support milestone reviews
- Manage documentation including checklists, operations reports, schematics, layout drawings, and system baselines
- Conduct surveillance, quality control inspections, and project management reviews; maintain launch site documentation
- Support innovation, project planning, and review Civil Engineer "Critical Day Dig Waivers" for 5SLS activities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related STEM discipline
- 9+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in NSSL, DoD, launch, or range operations
- Experience supporting Government program offices and working in distributed teams
- Familiarity with Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) facilities and launch operations
- Flexibility to support non-standard business hours and recurring mission-critical timelines
- Proven ability to work independently and within team structures while maintaining a professional presence
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ULA and SpaceX launch facilities and ground systems including HIF/SLC-37, VIF/SLC-41, ITL, SLC-40, and SLC-39
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Platform One collaboration tools (Confluence, Jira, MatterMost)
- Confident communicator with experience briefing large groups and senior leadership
Clearance Requirements
- Must have an active DoD SECRET clearance.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Must occasionally move within the office environment and to launch complexes
- Must be able to support facility walkdowns and mission integration meetings
- Frequently communicates with team members, management, and customers, including presentation delivery and technical exchanges
Travel Requirements
- Travel may be required to attend site meetings and support integration activities.
