Job Profile Summary: Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software.
Job Description: Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
Project Management
Serves as the primary project manager for IT integration and modernization initiatives supporting USAFE/AFAFRICA Logistics, Maintenance, and Training missions.
Develops project plans, establishes milestones, and monitors progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of objectives.
Coordinates with multiple stakeholders, including seven Squadron Commanders and the MXG Group Commander, to align IT capabilities with operational requirements.
Strategic Advisory and Leadership Engagement
Provides expert technical and strategic advice to senior leadership on IT systems, cybersecurity posture, and emerging technologies.
Prepares and delivers executive-level briefings, reports, and recommendations to inform decision-making at the Group and Wing levels.
Systems Analysis and Optimization
Conducts audits and inventories of A4 IT systems and applications across six Main Operating Bases (MOBs) and associated GSUs.
Identifies redundant capabilities and recommends consolidation strategies to reduce duplications, licenses, and costs.
Ensures interoperability of logistics, maintenance, and training systems and optimizes connectivity to authoritative data sources for accurate reporting and compliance with TASKORD requirements.
Innovation and Risk Management
Researches and evaluates emerging technologies, applications, and upgrades to enhance mission capabilities.
Facilitates cybersecurity accreditation processes, mitigates vulnerabilities, and enables accurate risk assessments for all deployed systems.
Stakeholder Communication and Continuity Planning
Acts as liaison between technical teams and operational leadership to ensure clear communication and alignment of priorities.
Develops continuity plans and knowledge transfer strategies to maintain mission readiness during personnel transitions.
Certifications:
Required: DoDD 8570.01 IAT-II (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE)
Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP)
Minimum Clearance: Secret
TESA eligibility/certification required.
Required Experience: This position requires a minimum of eight years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in performing systems analysis, development, and implementation of business, mathematical, or scientific setting using a variety of information technology resources. Requires experience with current technologies and, where required for the task, emerging technologies. Must have managed or had significant involvement with complex or substantive information technology projects including one year of experience in management and supervision.
Minimum Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study which provides substantial knowledge useful in managing large, complex AIS projects closely related to the work to be automated, and/or in a computer science, information system, a physical science, engineering or a mathematics-intensive discipline.
Education and experience requirements may be substituted with:
1. A Master's Degree (in subjects described above) and five years related experience.
2. No degree and eleven years directly related experience.

- Administer and maintain networks, systems, and database operations.
- Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations, version-control, and malware defense systems
- Collect RMF artifacts; conduct hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Troubleshoot network architecture and make recommendations for system repairs and enhancements.
- Analyze applications software suitability to support mission requirements.
- Create documentation such as policies, procedures, workflows and user guides
- Assess mission, user and applications requirements for systems to support mission assurance
- Coordinate inputs for accreditations packages as required.
- Optimize system operation and resource utilization.
- Perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Analyze and define systems, functions, process and user needs.
- Plan, design and upgrade systems installation projects.
- Make recommendations for leveraging systems installations and reducing operational costs.
- May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies.
- Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
