The Civil & Commercial Space Division is at the forefront of scientific research and space exploration. We equip major Government and commercial missions with calibrated state-of-the-art sensors and satellites. We also provide world-class AI&T technologies and mission management. Our projects include challenges across planetary science, Earth observation, heliophysics, and astrophysics. Key Responsibilities:
- Operates and automates test and measurement equipment
- Designs, develops, and troubleshoots new or existing test scripts
- Interfaces with program team members, as required
- Coordinates the efforts of technical support personnel, PCB Layout Designers, Technical Writers, and Electrical Technicians as required
- Compiles and evaluates design and test data and prepares technical specifications
- Analyzes, develops, and recommends design approaches to meet program requirements
- Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electrical circuits and systems
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering and 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in a lab testing environment
- Knowledge of Python and object-oriented practices
- Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment
- Awareness of laboratory personnel and hardware safety protocol and procedures
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, integrity, communication skills, and curiosity
- General and varied awareness of technological and scientific concepts
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic FPGA, switched-mode power supply, RF, and other electronic hardware knowledge
- Operation and automation of test and measurement equipment
- RF analyzers, signal generators, function generators, and power meters
- Power supplies, DC loads, oscilloscopes, and digital voltage meters
- Test interface and data protocols (VISA, Ethernet, SPI, SpaceWire, etc.)
- Comfortable in Linux-based operating systems
