Job Description

The Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) position will work under the guidance and direction of the area Security Manager. The assignments of the CSSO are focused on supporting the administration of a robust technical security program for multiple projects in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

The primary responsibilities include
  • Support the implementation of all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on ICD's, DoD 5205.07 SAP Manual, Vols 1-4, DoD 5105.21 SCI Manual, Vols 1-3.
  • Providing proficient SCI and SAP briefings and debriefings on all security matters supporting government contracts within the facility.
  • Facilitating and coordinating with multiple agencies and departments as a security professional on program management, personnel access processing, incident reporting, and equipment accountability.
  • Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified/proprietary materials, documents, and equipment through the utilization of multiple government security data bases (JADE, Talon, etc.) to track and advance critical security requests and accesses supporting technical contracts.
  • Provide ownership of all SAP, SCI, and collateral physical security requirements in a fast-paced fluid technical environment within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Work as a team player, exhibits flexibility, manages priorities, and meets customer expectations in a dynamic, environment. The CSSO interacts with internal and external customers or Government security officials in performance of security duties. Success in this position will prepare you for future opportunities.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position and have a current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Adjudicated U.S. government background investigation within the last five years.
  • 4 or more years of relevant job related experience and a mimimum of a High School Diploma
  • Providing proficient SCI/SAP briefings and debriefings on security requirements, government regulations, restrictions, and infractions to program support personnel and corporate leadership.
  • Facilitating various SCI/SAP administrative actions and operations to closely examine security regulations and reevaluate corporate practices and procedures concerning contract support and execution.
  • Experience with and technical understanding of government security database systems. (ie, JADE, DISS, SCATTER CASTLES, TALON)
  • Demonstrated understanding and practical experience in meeting and enforcing the government security guidelines as stated in ICDs and DoDM SAP/SCI regulations.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree or past government security experience.
  • Strongwork ethic and understanding of protection requirements for supportinggovernment technical programs.
  • 3-5 years' experience working within DoD agencies or industrial defense contractingsupport organizations with critical security requirements.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81156 - $137964

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
