The System Test Analyst plays a key role in evaluating the performance, functionality, and reliability of critical missile defense command-and-control systems. This role supports hands-on testing, data analysis, troubleshooting, and verification of system behaviors within a high-paced environment that supports the Missile Defense System (MDS).
You will work closely with engineers, developers, and operational teams to analyze complex algorithmic system behaviors, identify anomalies, and ensure that system functionality meets mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Execute system-level test events for next-generation command and control capabilities.
Perform analysis, data extraction, and evaluation of large and complex data sets.
Troubleshoot complex system behaviors and support root-cause investigations.
Develop test procedures, verification steps, and event documentation.
Support scenario-based testing, simulation, and system behavior replication.
Communicate technical findings to engineers, test directors, and program leadership.
Work hands-on at the C2BMC Test Bed at Schriever SFB.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with Python, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
Ability to work with and analyze large datasets.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts.
Desired Skills
Experience with Linux environments.
Background in Math, Physics, or algorithmic analysis.
Knowledge of:
Ballistic / non-ballistic missile defense concepts
Command and Control (C2) systems
MDS architecture
Space Domain Awareness fundamentals
Experience supporting DoD test events or distributed simulations.
Additional Information
Role is 100% on-site at Schriever SFB due to classified environment.
Some non-standard work hours may be required to support test events.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
Engineering
Computer Science
Mathematics
Physics
Other STEM discipline
Candidates without a Security+ may be submitted but must obtain it within 60 days of start.
Certification Requirements
Required (or must obtain within 60 days):
Security+ (IAT Level II)
Acceptable equivalents:
GSEC
SSCP
CCNA Security
Other DoD IAT Level II certifications
