We are seeking an experienced Product Repair/Modifications Technician to perform complex maintenance, repair, and modification tasks on C-17 aircraft systems. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes
- Oversee assembly, disassembly, and overhaul activities
- Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment
- Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and repair faults
- Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components
- Document procedures, repairs, test results, and inspections to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance
- Inspect components and verify repairs for flight-worthiness requirements
- Provide training and guidance to team members
- Work under general direction while maintaining safety and quality standards
- Ability to Obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (Requires US Citizenship)
- Minimum 3 years of experience working from heights using fall protection equipment (weight limit: 225 lbs or lower)
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience detecting hazardous conditions and ensuring workplace safety
- Proven background in repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes
- ACTIVE Secret Clearance
- Knowledge of live aircraft operations and support, including pneumatic, hydraulic, structural, electrical, and propulsion systems
- 3+ years of C-17 platform experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret C-17 blueprints and USAF Technical Orders
- Multi-system operations and repair experience
- Strong ability to work safely within complex schedules and maintain high standards of quality and productivity
