ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for an Focal Plane Array Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Golleta, CA . In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the full life cycle of infrared products, from technology development to prototyping and production. You will develop requirements and compliant designs, as well as radiometric test and characterization routines for infrared detectors and focal plane array products. This will require expertise in semiconductor device modeling, detector design, and manufacturing, including data analysis. If you are someone who can effectively manage multiple projects, interface with the infrared scientific community, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, then this role is for you. Your ability to mentor others and support customer interactions will be essential to the success of our infrared programs.

US Salary Range
$166,000 - $220,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Contribute to the full life cycle of infrared product from technology development to prototyping and production
- Develop requirements, compliant designs and radiometric test and characterization routines for infrared detector and focal plane array product
- Semiconductor device modeling, detector design and infrared product manufactuirng and test support including data analysis
- Interface with infrared scientific and program community for technology development and project execution
- Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects as an individual contributor, mentor, team lead, supplier or customer interface at various stages of the product lifecycle
- Support infrared program capture and customer interface with product concept and specifications, proposal cost, and technical volume writing
- Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, softate, firmware, and test test engineerings for component selection, troubleshooting, and delivery of fully functional products
- Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, production, active deployments, and customer hardware
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or equivalent
- 10+ years experience developing infrared detector and focal plane array technologies
- Experience with infrared detector and focal plane array requirements definition, test and characterization for prototype and production products
- Knowledge of infrared semiconductor wafer processing, focal plane array manufacturing, integrated dewar cool assembly and system product integration
- Proficient in programming languages for automated test and data analysis
- Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Masters or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or equivalent
- Experience in infrared detector design, approaches for radiation hardening, and 3D heterogeneous integration (3DHI)
- Expertise in scientific programming with Python and Matlab programming
- Expertise with software tools for modeling and simulation of optoelectronics devices
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with infrared scientific and program community for technology development and project execution
- Production planning, tracking, and execution experience in AS9100D/IS9001 certified environments and Quality Management Systems
