Epsilon Systems Solutions is seeking a full time Mechanical Engineering Technician II in Yokosuka, Japan.
Summary: This position will provide Perform pre-deployment assessments and document recommendations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform pre-deployment assessments and document recommendations
2. Perform minor repairs
3. Perform troubleshooting
4. Train Ship's Force
5. Other shipboard mechanical duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience with either shipboard marine mechanic or skilled trades experience with related mechanical maintenance and repair experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or other mechanical technical data pertaining to the construction and operation of naval equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense secret security clearance and base access
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is $28.00 to $30.70 Per Hour. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
ADA Notations:
• Required to walk, stand, climb stairs, have dexterity as well as visual skills
• Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 50 lbs.

- Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
- Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels.
- May ride ships at sea for short periods. May require wearing a respirator.
- Most work is performed aboard ships or in industrial conditions.
