HX5 is currently seeking a qualified Logistics Equipment Specialist to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Munitions Division at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah.

HX5 is currently seeking a qualified Logistics Equipment Specialist to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Munitions Division at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage technical aspects of USAF conventional munitions outlined in task orders, including defensive countermeasures, fuses, specialized ammunition, rockets, warheads, EOD equipment, aircraft fuel tanks, bombs, precision-guided munitions, and air-to-ground missiles.
- Provide direct technical support for assigned conventional munition
- Assist munitions field-level personnel in all matters of repair, sustainment and deficiency resolution issues
- Provide immediate responses to interface activation issues
- Advise Single Managers, Major Command Action Officers and Chief Engineers on matters affecting system Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) requirements
- Interact/communicate on a technical basis with high-level DoD and/or foreign military personnel
- Prepare and present technical briefings to high-level DoD and foreign military personnel
- Additionally, Munitions Lab positions shall occasionally require the performance of the following additional responsibilities on an as needed basis; shall adhere to Area Specific Hazard Communication Program policy:
- Provide assistance in weapon build-up, test, and operation, recording of telemetry kit data to support the test programs across the AFLCMC/EBH portfolio to utilize test results in evaluation of weapon system air readiness
- Work closely with the Government to ensure general housekeeping, safety, grounding, real property, security, equipment accountability, vehicle management, bio-environmental control standards and Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) Standards are followed
- Assist with identifying, developing and validating all known or expected technical data requirements for the following:
- Government or commercial technical manuals, technical orders/time compliance technical orders, and specifications
- Process specifications or user manuals
- Work control documents
- Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs)
- Recommend changes or supplements to the above data
- Assist with identifying technical data requirements associated with the qualification, repair, overhaul, refurbishment, test, and demilitarization of reparable commodity items, Support Equipment, and special tools
- Support development, revision and test of demilitarization procedures to ensure critical technologies are protected
- Provide relevant information to pertinent Munitions accountability section regarding asset requisitions and changes in condition code to ensure accurate information is maintained in the Combat Ammunition System
- Provide quarterly "Build-A-Bomb" familiarization to all acquisition personnel
Education and Experience:
- BS/BA degree with twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
- OR MS/MA with ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- OR 15 years of related experience
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
- Must be able to travel, including air travel.
