We are seeking an SDR Lead Engineer to join our team in Broomfield to perform the following..
•Review and understand prototype Software Defined Radio unit design and test results
•Identify and design solutions to eliminate unit shortcomings, improve unit performance, and incorporate new unit features
•Manage the incorporate of SDR unit updates with board lead engineers, mechanical engineering, SW/FW engineering, and vendors
•Assist SW and systems engineering and system analysts in providing technical inputs, recommendations, and review for unit reliability predictions, BIT design and coverage, failure mode analysis, and health and status monitoring features
•Develop SDR unit test plan
•Generate requirements and pass/fail criteria for automated SDR unit testing, and assist test engineering in development and validation of automated testing SW
•Assist SW and FW engineering in development of embedded and signal processing SW/FW for the SDR unit
•Oversee production, receiving and inspection, automated testing, manual testing, environmental qualification, and anomaly reporting for 100+ SDR units
•Assist test engineering in compiling test reports for customer requirements verification
•Assist SW and systems engineering in providing technical inputs and review for Statement of Volatility and additional cybersecurity documentation as needed
•Assist Chief Engineer and systems engineering in integration of SDR unit into higher level assemblies
Requirements:
*Active secret, TS or TS/SCI
*8+ years of relevant experience
*An ideal candidate will be familiar with designs for: RF T/R electronics, digital electronics, FPGA and microcontroller design, AC/DC and DC/DC power electronics, RF-over-Fiber and optical networking hardware, liquid cooling for electronics, basic networking, DSP for signal conditioning and embedded SW and FW.
*Ability to go into the Broomfield office 90% of the time
