Duties

As a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) at the NH-2210-4 some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Supervises a team of 8-10 employees and is responsible for setting expectations for the branch, performance appraisals, training and development, balancing workloads and schedules, conducting interviews and taking disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Liaison with TMOT on automated testing for PEO-T.
  • Develops and coordinates testing strategy and implementation plan for PEO-T PoRs with the Chief Program and Security Engineer.
  • Works with PEO-T to develop and implement standard automated contract language into all PEO-T PoRs development and support contracts.
  • Develops and maintains the PEO-T automated testing standard operating procedures (SOP) and provides training to all PEO-T personnel as needed.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the NH 04 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
  • Leading, motivating, and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Developing/reviewing training plans focused on automated testing within a agile scrum software development process.
  • Developing and implementing testing policies and procedures in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with agile software development from an automated testing perspective on a scrum team.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize testing priorities in a systematic, comprehensive, and logical manner IAW DoW Software Modernization Strategy.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring automated testing strategies at the PoR and enterprise level.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

**Value of Position (VOP): If your current basic salary is within the band, but above the stated VOP, your basic salary will not be reduced if you are selected for the position.

This is a CRITICAL ACQUISITION POSITION (CAP) and requires Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), DAWIA (Back to Basics) certification for career category N - Engineering & Technical Management, Level II - Practitioner. Selectee for this position will be required to sign a written agreement to remain, for a minimum of three years, in the federal service in this critical acquisition position. The obligation incurred by this agreement will remain in effect unless and until waived. In signing such agreement, you do not forfeit any employment rights, nor does such agreement alter any other terms or conditions of employment.

This is a Cybersecurity position. The employee must attain and maintain the appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline Certificate(s) applicable for cybersecurity functions required for the DoD position held, within six months of filling the position, IAW DoD 8570.01-M or DoD 8140.
