Job Description
As a Security Officer - Aero Patrol Specialist in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned aero and defense locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible throughout your shift. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with employees and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor the environment for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
- Support access control by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site guidelines.
- Document and report incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment for all occupants and assets.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
